Mystic Seaport is open 363 days a year (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) and boasts a membership of more than 20,000 people from across the world. The most popular exhibit is the Charles W. Morgan ship. It is the last wooden whale ship in the entire world. Mystic Seaport is located near the center of town and is easily accessible by Interstate 95. Mystic Aquarium One of the nation's leading aquariums, Mystic Aquarium boasts more than 750,000 visitors each year. Whether you've swung by to see the sharks, or are impressed by their massive Beluga Whales, Mystic Aquarium not only offers patrons the chance to see it's collection of sea life, but in many instances actually interact with it as well. Part of the aquarium is called "The Institute for Exploration" which serves as a base for Dr. Robert Ballard to exhibit some of his great findings.
